Overview
Lydia is a DNP Pediatric Nurse Practitioner student in the School of Nursing with a strong interest in healthcare within the African diaspora, particularly focusing on the intersection of current-day medicine, the diaspora in the USA, and the freedom of Black women to provide holistic care, starting from infancy.
With a profound passion for advocating for the well-being of Black women and infants, Lydia is committed to exploring the historical and cultural factors influencing healthcare disparities and aims to contribute to research, policy development, and the advancement of healthcare practices that address the unique needs of these communities.
