Overview
I am interested in the development and genealogy of the Spanish language from its Latin roots, the changes occurred due to historical, social, and cultural events that shaped the Medieval Spanish, and the development of the language not only in the Iberian Peninsula, but also in other parts of the globe, especially in the Americas. Changes are ongoing in the current Spanish written language. My latest study: The Decline of the Spanish Accentuated Words. There is a decline in the accentuation of words that need prosodic accent as well as diacritical accent.
