Overview
Matt is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Becker Laboratory for Functional Biomaterials. He is currently researching the synthesis of bioresorbable polymers for applications in medical implants. His early research, in the Shaw Research Group, focused on method development of cosmeceutical peptides. He obtained his B.S in ACS-certified chemistry with minors in physics and mathematics from Appalachian State University (2022).
