Overview


Dr. Matthew Ehrlich, MD MPH is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Duke University School of Medicine, with appointments within the Hospital Neurology division and the Vascular Neurology and Stroke division. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 2012. He then completed an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Virginia, followed by fellowship in vascular neurology at Duke University before joining the faculty at Duke.

Dr. Ehrlich's clinical practice is focused on hospital neurology, including the emergency, inpatient and telemedicine settings, as well as outpatient stroke specialty clinic. Dr. Ehrlich serves as the Medical Director for both the Neurology Consultation Service as well as the Primary Stroke Center at Duke Regional Hospital.

Dr Ehrlich has research interests in stroke systems of care, disparities of care, outcomes research and inpatient neurology care quality. He has published peer-reviewed articles on these topics in numerous international medical journals including Stroke, Neurology, The Neurohospitalist Journal, and American Heart Journal. Dr Ehrlich has also served as site principal investigator at Duke for large stroke clinical trials.
