Overview
Mikhail Kleynman is a 6th-year PhD Candidate in English specializing in American novels and film. His research interests include genre studies, media studies, visual culture, and the economic humanities. At Duke, he's designed and taught a seminar on Detective Fiction, in which students worked with global contemporary films alongside novels and short stories from the mid nineteenth century to the late twentieth.
He holds a dual B. A. in English and Economics from Rutgers University.
