She is a composer, singer, folk music researcher, and Santoor player. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Music Composition at Duke University. She is also an MA graduate in Composition from Tehran University of Art and her thesis was chosen as the best composition thesis. Both her BA and Diploma are in Iranian Musical Performance.
