Support to Advance Research ( STAR ) Program · 2018 - 2021 Awarded by: Physician Assistant Education Association The Support to Advance Research ( STAR ) Program is a national, competitive program which offers one team of PA researchers the opportunity to include their own survey questions in the annual PAEA Program Survey. Hudak’s survey questions seek to examine the prevalence, content, and dissemination of PA program policies that address and prevent negative events reported by students involving preceptors during supervised clinical experiences.
Grant (Funded) · 2017 - 2018 Principal Investigator · Awarded by: Duke Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development · $3,850.00 Through this program, we aim to equip clinical preceptors with knowledge, skills, and attitudes to more effectively facilitate interprofessional education in clinical settings. This program would foster development of rich interprofessional relationships among the interprofessional participants enrolled in the program. We plan to use this pilot program to revise and scale future similar initiatives to reach a greater number of clinical preceptors in the future.
