Overview
Hello everyone!
I am an incoming first-year, pre-doctoral student into Duke's University Program in Genetics and Genomics (UPGG) this fall of 2022. I am excited to work with engaging faculty under the UPGG umbrella who investigate the epigenetic processes involved in differentiation and pattern formation - particularly during development - as well as those who are researching the evolution and role of transposable elements.
I was born in Bridgeport yet raised in Bethel, CT and a large part of my upbringing is rooted in my Brazilian identity. I love to play soccer and volleyball and barbecue some picanha with my friends!
