Overview
Dr. Bressler has performed extensive research involving regulation of the immune system, He studied gene regulation of many different cytokines, NFKB and gene regulation in HIV infection, Other studies focused on development of gene therapy techniques for patients infected with HIV. After joining the faculty at Duke , Dr, Bressler has maintained an active clinical practice and is part of an extensive program for asthma education, He is on the Educational Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and has given many educational lectures on the treatment of asthma, He is also a member of the Duke Institutional Committee For Graduate Medical Education. He has published numerous articles in both the basic sciences and in clinical medicine.
