Overview
As a veteran magazine and newspaper photojournalist, she has decades of experience documenting the lives of people in more than twenty countries. Her passion has always been in-depth documentary storytelling. For more than ten years she worked for National Geographic magazine, also contributing to Life, U.S. News, Newsweek, New York Times, and nonprofits including World Vision, Food for the Hungry, and Compassion International. She won the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for Coverage of the Disadvantaged and many awards from POY. In 2006, Post-Rust began teaching at Duke University. Her courses send students into the Durham community with the intent to broaden their education through photography.
