Overview
Rebecca Donohoe, MD is an Assistant Professor and Associate Medical Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine, and her residency training in Emergency Medicine at Duke University, where she served as Chief Resident. She joined the Emergency Medicine faculty at Duke in 2014, and since 2016 has been involved in an administrative and operational leadership role.
Dr. Donohoe’s operational work focuses on collaborative care coordination and transitions of care from the Emergency Department to outpatient and inpatient settings to improve the ED patient experience. Additionally, she is involved in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
