Tyra Girdwood
Clinical Associate in the School of Nursing
Dr. Girdwood's research is aimed at improving transitional care and care coordination practices/policies in vulnerable populations. She studies how to enhance the transition process from pediatric to adult healthcare among youth dealing with chronic conditions, and their families. As a Durham VA scholar, she is also interested in reforming the transition process from active to civilian life among the young adult veteran population.
