Research Interests
My research centers on Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, with a primary focus on Plato. My articles on ignorance in Plato’s Socratic dialogues and in the Republic—both published in Phronesis—form the backbone of my completed book manuscript (95,000 words), which is currently under review. A short monograph (27,000 words) bridging the Hippocratic corpus and Plato’s political theory is under contract with the Cambridge Elements Series in Ancient Philosophy. Beyond these projects, I have begun developing a new line of research on love and care in ancient philosophy, with working papers on curiosity, civic friendship, and self-care in Plato and Aristotle. I am also pursuing comparative work on the notion of harmony in Ancient Greek and Classical Chinese philosophy, including papers on genuine knowledge in the Zhuangzi and on curiosity in Confucianism.
