Overview


Ziv Ze’ev Cohen is a new media artist exploring how technology shapes and reshapes our past, present, and future. His practice investigates how machines touch our senses, our societies, and our imaginations. He invites viewers into spaces where the boundaries blur between the human and the mechanical, between speculation and reflection. His creations oscillate between the virtual and the physical, utilizing elements of kinetic movement, light, sound, and interaction. 

Cohen’s works have been exhibited internationally, including Ars Electronica in Austria, the Museum of China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, the Fusan Foundation in Shanghai, Gallery 062 in Chicago, Pyramida Art Center in Israel, and esc medien kunst labor in Graz, Austria.

Previously Cohen have taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Art and Technology Department, and served as an associate professor at the School of Design & Innovation at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou.

In the past, he has taught courses in conceptual art, design and art project development, physical computing, digital fabrication, digital media tools, photography, and holography.
