Spin-dependent compton scattering from 3He and the neutron spin polarizabilities

A new experiment is being planned at the High Intensity Gamma Source (HIγS) at Duke Free Electron Laboratory for first measurements of the spin-dependent asymmetries from elastic Compton scattering of circularly polarized photons from a high-pressure polarized 3He gas target. The new experiment will allow for an extraction of neutron spin polarizabilities.
