Compact high quantum efficiency single photon detector in the ultraviolet wavelengths

We demonstrate a high quantum efficiency single photon detector with operating wavelength extended into the ultraviolet range (250nm-1μm). Quantum efficiency of 6% is demonstrated at 300 nm, with estimated internal efficiency of 24%. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
