Metamaterial polarization multiplexed gratings

We demonstrate a metamaterial grating that has two diffraction periods for two orthogonal linear polarization states of illuminations. The proposed method will be useful in free space optical communications and novel optical imaging systems. © 2013 The Optical Society.
