Novel electrically resonant terahertz metamaterials

We present new designs for metamaterials that exhibit a tailored resonant electrical response, investigated with THz time domain spectroscopy. These electric metamaterials will significantly ease the burden of construction for future negative index metamaterial devices. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
