Erythematous plaques on the knee

This is a case of erythematous plaques on the knees of a 14-month-old infant. Readerswill be challenged to identify different diagnoses based on case presentation, history, and symptoms. Erythematous plaques on the extremities in infants require careful assessment, diagnosis, and consideration of common entities as well as more serious underlying systemic diseases. In many circumstances, the lesions present to dermatology or primary care for initial evaluation.
