Engineering Aspects of Climate Change

Publication ,  Chapter

Many of the potential problems posed by climate change will be addressed, at least in part, by the engineering community. Engineers from every discipline must apply the physical and biological sciences in innovative ways, including the prevention and control of releases of greenhouse gases. This calls for a systems view of matter and energy to inform future decisions, but also being mindful of social, economic and cultural factors.
