Case 21-1973: Cavitary Lung Lesion in a Man with Reticulum-Cell Sarcoma on Immunosuppressive Therapy

Presentation of Case A 71-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of fever. He was well until three months previously, when anorexia developed, with epigastric pain and loss of 14 kg in weight. On admission to another hospital an abdominal mass was found, and the edge of the liver was felt 8 cm below the right costal margin. Laparotomy revealed a reticulum-cell sarcoma that involved the root of the mesentery; a biopsy of the liver was reported to be negative.
