Algebra for online analytical processing data cube

Data cube is the central mechanism in multi-dimensional data warehouse and online analytical processing (OLAP) based on multi-dimensional analysis. The algebra for OLAP data cube, including the basic conception, data logic model, important properties and operations, was proposed, which provide the theoretical foundation for semantic description of data warehouse and OLAP manipulation. Some application of the algebra for data cube were presented as well to show the power of the contribution.
