An e-ambulatory healthcare system using mobile network
Delivering healthcare is a large distributed process. The advent of modern IT systems and communications networks has seen an explosion in the market for systems that monitor disease and deliver healthcare services in cities. Increasingly, such systems are being built on wireless networking platforms. In this paper, we are going to introduce a new healthcare mobile network architecture, which may provide a special e-ambulatory healthcare support in any part of the world. As an example we will describe a healthcare network covering all States of USA. This healthcare network consists of physicians, nurses and medical clinics across a wide range of medical specialists and agencies in each State. The proposed architecture gives the possibility to the clients of the mobile healthcare network to get visited by a physician or be directed to the medical clinic who will have access to their full medical information instantly, whenever and wherever they will need a medical consultation in a time efficient and secure manner. © 2010 IEEE.
