This chapter reviews the indications, limitations, and interpretations of a lower extremity arterial duplex exam in the evaluation of lower extremity arterial aneurysms. It discusses how to prepare the patient and perform the ultrasound. It also evaluates the clinical utility of a lower extremity arterial duplex in the evaluation and management of femoral pseudoaneurysms.
