Radiation doses in cardiac angiographic procedures

In view of paucity of information on radiation doses, an attempt was made to estimate the doses to patient and staff in angiographic procedure. The dose measurements were done using TLD-100 chips supplied by Harshaw Bicron and in some cases the dose area product (DAP) measurements were done. Results show that the doses are not reaching the level of deterministic effects particularly for the skin injuries.
