This chapter begins with a summary of the anatomic considerations related to the ilioinguinal nerve and its innervation. A list of indications/contraindications are listed for the ilioinguinal nerve block as well as potential complications due to the procedure. Both landmark and ultrasound guided techniques are reviewed.
