Distal radius fractures are the most common fracture of the upper extremity, and athletes are no exception. Injury can impact a player’s competitiveness and the longevity of their career. The mechanism, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies are similar among athletes with a few unique and important considerations. Complications and adverse outcomes after distal radius fractures are frequent, diverse, and treatment specific.
