Novel profilometry based grating projection composite

A novel technology for measuring three-dimensional (3-D) profile is proposed. Traditional method of grating projecting exist the problems such as shades and limit of size of objects. The technique can effectively solve the preceding drawbacks by composite technique of two sides. The measuring results prove that this new technique offers a promising future for the profilometry by use of optical method. Moreover a new calibration method is presented.
