Merci Islam: Religious Knowledge in the Modern Era (Al-Islam al-Rahmani: al-Maarrifa al-diniyyia fi al-asr al-hadith)
The book contains the Arabic translation of four of Kadivar’s articles: Merci Islam; Muhammadan Ethics: Eight Steps Towards Noble Morals; Moderate Religious Knowledge, an intellectual and doctrinal review of issues about religion, Islam, and the Qur’an; Moderate Denominational knowledge, an intellectual review of issues about the Prophet, Shi’ism, and the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt. Merci Islam is a trend that believes that Muslims need to rethink their knowledge, and the result of this is to reform some behaviors. Merci Islam does not represent a new addition to the religion of God, but rather it seeks to highlight a pivotal principle that has been overlooked. What must be emphasized in the era of Islamophobia, and the era of bad behavior issued by some extremist Muslims, is the principle of mercy with which God described Himself more than any other of His beautiful names.
