Combined posterior approach brachioplasty and cubital tunnel release in massive weight loss patients

Cubital tunnel syndrome can present after massive weight loss due to the loss of protective adipose tissue around the elbow. However, surgical access to the cubital tunnel is challenging in this patient population due to severe upper arm skin excess. We present a novel surgical technique to address both excess upper arm skin and cubital tunnel syndrome in a post-bariatric surgery patient and review the literature on compressive neuropathies after massive weight loss. Level of Evidence: Level V, therapeutic study.
