Co-MgF2 granular thin films are prepared by thermal evaporation. Magnetic properties are evaluated fo application in a thin film indicator. The sample with the best properties for this applications contains 42% cobalt and has Hci of 0.76 Oe, χ of 26, resistivity of 2 × 107 μΩ-cm, Bx of 0.7 T, and Q over 100.
