The transition from surgical trainee to new attending is one of the steepest learning curves in a surgeon's career. However, successfully navigating this difficult transition can serve as a foundation for a long and fruitful career in vascular surgery. This article aims to proffer advice to help overcome the new attending learning curve for newly graduated and soon-to-graduate vascular surgeons.
