Primary pediatric vascular tumors are mostly benign and occur in four major types: infantile hemangioma, congenital hemangioma, kaposiform hemangioendothelioma, and pyogenic granuloma. Clinical presentation varies according to tumor type, but these can occur in many body locations, may cause pain and bleeding or tissue invasion, with physiologic or aesthetic consequences. Systemic manifestations are rare, but can be severe. Current management of such tumors is multidisciplinary and has evolved significantly over the last two decades. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss clinical features, diagnosis, and management of pediatric vascular tumors.
