Fluid-Structure Interaction Analysis of a Compliant CFCF Panel at Mach 5.85

This study investigates clamped-free-clamped-free (CFCF) compliant aluminum alloy panels under hypersonic flow conditions. The goal is to enhance the understanding of Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) by computationally simulating approximate experimental conditions of the FSI experiments performed at the University of Southern Queensland at Mach 5.85. A key objective is to understand the impact of the physical parameters, such as freestream temperature and pressure, angle of attack, and aerodynamic heating on the FSI response. The findings are expected to refine the range of critical conditions for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and inform upcoming FSI experiments in hypersonic flow.
