Clavicle fractures are common, occurring in up to 5% of all fractures and 35% of shoulder girdle fractures [1]. Many of these will require surgical correction and thus also require anesthesia. There are well documented complications associated with clavicle fractures and surgical correction of clavicle fractures [2-4]. Pain from the fracture and from surgical correction can be difficult to manage.
