Sleep disorders are common in children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and can be associated with behavioral problems, inattention, poor school performance, and a decrease in health-related quality of life scores. Sleep disorders may contribute to these complications, and early identification with appropriate intervention of sleep abnormalities may lead to an improvement in patient outcomes.
