Entropy stable discontinuous galerkin scheme for the compressible Navier-stokes equations

In this paper, we present a family of entropy-stable discontinuous Galerkin methods for the compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The discretization presented here is based on a mixed formulation, and is designed to preserve the entropy stability of an already existing discretization for the Euler equations. Entropy stable variants of several known schemes are presented, including BR2, SIPG and LDG.
