A Silent Health Care Emergency: The Disappearance of North Carolina Community Pharmacies.

Community pharmacies are closing across North Carolina at an alarming rate. These operations provide vital access to health care services, especially in underserved areas. The reasons for such closures are complex, requiring a multifaceted response. Urgent action is needed to reform public policies, support community pharmacists, and expand innovative care models to protect public health.
