Algorithms are increasingly common in the world. Research exists on the “math” behind algorithms (O’Neil, 2016). But less research looks at how algorithms are deployed in practice, and there is limited research on algorithmic phenomena from a qualitative perspective. In this PDW, we want to help build a community of scholars who are studying algorithmic phenomena from a qualitative perspective.
