Landscape Ecology

Landscape ecology is concerned with the generation and dynamics of pattern in ecosystems, and the implications of pattern for population, community, and ecosystem-level processes. The discipline has laid a special claim to the reciprocal interaction between pattern as a consequence of ecological processes and also as a constraint on these processes.
