We point out the possible role of neutral strange particles (Λ, KoS) as probes for the size of a baryon-rich fireball formed in relativistic nuclear collisions. A striking difference in the size parameters determined by the hyperons on one hand, and kaons or pions on the other hand, may occur in the case of a phase transition to a quark-gluon plasma. © 1989.
