A note on the response spectrum map

A study was performed on the response spectrum map. A plot of frequency, or spectral, content versus a system parameter was a useful alternative to bifurcation diagrams in nonlinear dynamics. The spectrum map was based on the data taken from two experimental mechanical systems in which hysteresis was featured.
