In a study of the development of atherosclerotic lesions, the authors investigate convective diffusion along the wall of a modelled arterial bifurcation. Under boundary layer assumptions, the resulting set of equations is transformed into a form to which Laplace transforms are applicable. The result is two integral relationships between the species flux through the wall and its concentration at the wall, one of which appears to be new
