This paper describes an automated instrumentation system for the acquisition, analysis, and storage of miniature end-plate potentials. The system provides immediate analysis and display of MEPP frequency, peak amplitude, duration, rise-time and decay time along with the resting membrane potential (RMP) and other system characteristics. These characteristics may be automatically stored in a mass storage medium via interface with a large timesharing computing system. Statistical analysis over a long series of experiments is thus possible.
