The management of complex laryngotracheal stenosis continues to be a formidable challenge. This paper reviews recent advances in the areas of adjunctive medical measures to improve the success of laryngotracheal reconstruction, new surgical techniques, and the potential use of vascularized grafts. The potential immediate impact on surgical or medical management of laryngotracheal stenosis is discussed.
