A unique case of percutaneous drainage of a post-operative periappendiceal abscess that fistulised to the Fallopian tube is presented. Fistulisation may represent the anatomic mechanism by which fertility may be affected by periappendiceal abscesses. Mechanisms and data on possible effects on fertility are reviewed. The patient was cured and the fistula closed. © 1989.
