Quasi-phase matching in nonlinear metamaterials

We employ nonlinear metamaterials to demonstrate alternative quasi-phase matching (QPM) methods not feasible in natural materials. Additionally, we propose a method for dynamic QPM via resonance tuning, allowing for a tunable frequency of operation. © 2011 OSA.
