Local area networks have been developed using both ring and bus topologies. Multi-loop and multi-connected topologies have been proposed to improve the throughput and dependability of single-loop networks. We evaluate the dependability of a class multi-connected loop topologies called forward loop, backward hop (FLBH) networks and compare them to simple ring networks.
