Concentrates on Malaysia's current position as an exporter of forest products. Two main points are made. First, Malaysia is best regarded as three separate nations from the standpoint of forest products trade. Second, while Malaysia will remain an important exporter of forest products, resource depletion will probably lead to decreases in its importance within the next 5 to 10 years. -Author
