As cloud computing becomes increasingly popular among enterprises, developers, and organizations, it's time to consider the practical problem: how do you choose from the growing number of providers? To help users make this decision, researchers first determined the basic types of services that providers offer. They then devised a set of metrics related to application performance in a cloud and created tools for measuring them. © 2011 IEEE.
